U13 League at Crawley
(May 15, 2014)Haywards Heath Harriers fielded a slightly weaker team than expected in the first round of the Sussex U13 League at K2, Crawley on Thursday 15th May. Despite this, those that did compete had an excellent evening of athletics and produced some great individual performances. The only win of the evening came from Ryan Moss in the B String Boys Shot Putt. However there were also encouraging performances by Tishon Price, Joel Skey, Matthew Stedman, Max Whelan, Joshua Essex, Sophie Hooper and Freya Sambell who all had top 3 finishes. They were supported by Scott Ridley, Keelan Karki, Francesca Pitcher, Jasmine Mamoany, Anna Kenward, Freya Southwell and Charlotte Donnelly to finish 5th place overall out of the 6 competing teams. With a few more athletes competing, the club can push for 3rd place at the next fixture.
