Club Road Racing Championships 2023 Overall Results
(October 18, 2023)The aim of the Club's Road Racing Championship (also known as the "Bill Page" Competition) is to identify the club's best male & female "all rounder" on an age-adjusted basis over the 3 classic distances of 10k, 10 miles and Half Marathon. The club nominates the 3 races for each distance to ensure an even competition.
Competition should have been strong this year with the coaching team encouraging participation. 61 members took part overall with 24 completing the HH 10 miler, 50 at the Phoenix 10k and 23 finishing the Barns Green HM. However, only 4 members managed all 3 races....
For the Men - James "Evergreen" Moffatt took top spot with an aggregate of 226.5 pts, well ahead of Matt King (207.5 pts) who narrowly held off Greg Hilton in 3rd (206.2 pts)
For the Ladies, Rachael Overton was the only member to complete all 3 races and thus sweeps the prizes with a creditable 210.7pts.
