Statement on behalf of Haywards Heath Harriers - Chris Smith

It is with a great sadness, that I can confirm our friend and fellow club member, Chris Smith, has died while on a family holiday in Scotland.
As you may have seen in the news, Chris went out for a run on Tuesday from which he failed to return. Local mountain rescue and volunteers had been searching for him since Tuesday night. His body was found shortly before midday this morning.
We will miss Chris, not only for his exceptional talent, but for his wit, charm and general warmth.
We are in touch with the family and our collective thoughts and respects are with Lindsay and their two sons.
